Iranian protesters gathered for a fourth day in Tehran on Tuesday to demonstrate against the way the authorities have handled last week’s accidental shooting down of a Ukrainian airliner, videos posted on social media showed.
Iranian social media postings urged citizens to take to the streets for a fifth day on Wednesday, after the admission by the authorities that they had accidentally brought down a passenger plane after days of denials stoked public outrage.

One platform that’s received backlash is Facebook, which is standing firm on its position to not fact-check politicians’ statements.
