Is social media dying? Why experts are predicting a crash

Despite increase in internet usage over the past few years, time spent on social media apps has actually be trending down, according to a recent study by Comscore. Between misinformation, bad ads, a plethora of different apps, troubling content and toxic vitriol that is harmful to mental health, the reasons people are leaving are numerous. Instead, it appears most people have moved communication and sharing into group chats where the discussions are private and do not contain advertisements. KTLA’s Andy Riesmeyer reports.
