Viele Untersuchungen zeigen die schädlichen Auswirkungen von sozialen Medien auf Kinder. Unabhängig davon, ob es sich um TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat oder Facebook handelt, ist es bislang nahezu unmöglich, Kinder unter 16 Jahren vor sozialen Medien zu bewahren. Aus diesem Grund wird immer wieder eine Altersgrenze für soziale Netzwerke gefordert.
