What is GEO, and why does it matter for your business in 2025? In this video, we’re breaking down how search is evolving from traditional SEO to AEO (answer engine optimization) and now GEO, or generative engine optimization. If your website traffic has dropped, or if you’ve noticed fewer people clicking through from Google, this could explain why.
More and more people are skipping Google completely and heading straight to tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to ask their questions. That means the way your business shows up online needs to shift, too. You might be ranking number one on Google but still not appear at all in an AI-generated list or answer. That’s the gap we’re talking about today.
The truth is, GEO is still brand new. AI platforms don’t give us much insight into how their recommendations work, which makes it tricky to know what actually helps. Right now, the best approach is to test what works, track what changes, and share findings along the way. That’s what this video series is all about.
