STOP comparing yourself to social media!

So this is just a reminder to stop comparing yourself to social media. I took this video 3 years ago on December 8th 2020, when I had been working out for just 1 year and 8 months. And you might be thinking to yourself, wait this dude looks like this after not even 2 years of training. There’s no way. Well, what if I told you in that video, posing with perfect lighting, and a full upper body pump, I was only 157 pounds. At roughly 5 foot 9, that’s not really that heavy, especially considering the fact I am now 205 pounds, and look like this. But wait, that’s still posing under really good lighting, in perfect conditions, so take that away and I actually look like this. You see, I don’t have any crazy veins, I don’t have massive bulging shoulders, I don’t have a tiny waist, my butt probably is a little bit too big, and my posture isn’t the best, yes of course I still look pretty good, and I would hope so after nearly 5 years of consistent dieting and training, but if I were to just simply compare this physique to my physique 3 years ago, it just wouldn’t make any sense, right. Why would I compare what I look like walking around everyday in normal lighting, with a bit more fat than usual, to someone who’s on the peak of their cut, standing under god’s divine radiance itself, after a 2 hour arm session with enough blood in their upper body to fill a swimming pool. In reality, in December 2020, I actually looked like this, where if I were to put a long sleeve shirt on, it wouldn’t even look like I lifted. Moral of the story, don’t compare yourself to people you see online, because not even they look like that. And thankfully, life is more than just having a good physique and going to the gym, at the end of the day it does not matter how big you are, or how lean you are, or how wide your shoulders are, so don’t stress about it, because the only one who really notices is you.
