In a bold and united front, leaders from across the political divide have come out to strongly condemn the growing wave of police brutality targeting peaceful protesters in Nairobi. Among those speaking out are Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, MP Onesmus Ngogoyo, and Cleophas Malala, the Secretary General of the Democracy for the Citizens (DCP) Party.

Their outrage follows shocking scenes where police officers were seen escorting hired goons to attack demonstrators who were peacefully demanding justice for Albert Ojwang — a young man allegedly arrested illegally in Homa Bay and later killed in police custody in what many believe to be an extrajudicial execution.

As the protest escalated, Boniface Mwangi Kariuki, a simple mask seller, became the latest victim of police excesses after being shot in broad daylight. He is now fighting for his life in the ICU at Kenyatta National Hospital.
