Promoted Pins are branded map markers that appear when users browse Google Maps. These pins can include:
βœ“ Business name, logo, hours, and contact info
βœ“ Direct links to websites or in-app directions
βœ“ Promotional offers or product highlights

They’re designed to increase store visits by capturing high-intent moments during location-based browsing.

Until now, Promoted Pins were available to get via PMax campaigns. But with the latest Demand Gen update, you can:
βœ“ Create ads on YouTube, Discover, Gmail, Display and now Maps.
βœ“ Track both digital and physical conversions (in-store) in one campaign structure.
βœ“ Probably use visual creative with local intent targeting if Maps can be selected as Channel control too.

With Display and now Maps inventory Demand Gen is becoming closer to a PMax for mid funnel.
