During a visit to the University of Manitoba, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau challenged a People’s Party of Canada (PPC) supporter’s comments on abortion rights after the man said that “I think if [women are] sleeping around they shouldn’t be allowed to abort the baby, personally.”
People’s Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier has become a rallying figure for voters who strongly object to lockdowns and other measures and while political watchers say it’s unlikely the party will win any seats, it could eat into Conservative support.
