A ferramenta é bastante utilizada e reconhecida no mercado devido a sua simplicidade.
Com o MailChimp, você consegue segmentar suas campanhas, escolher os dados estatísticos que deseja acompanhar, realizar testes A/B, integrar o serviço com outras ferramentas e/ou plataformas e ainda escolher os templates disponibilizados para usar na comunicação com sua audiência.
Além das campanhas, você pode configurar fluxos de emails automáticos, com diferentes regras de negócio, para facilitar o seu contato com os clientes.
Mailchimp é uma plataforma de automação de marketing e um serviço de email marketing. A plataforma é um nome comercial de sua operadora, Rocket Science Group, uma empresa americana fundada em 2001 por Ben Chestnut e Mark Armstrong, com Dan Kurzius se juntando a uma data posterior. A Mailchimp começou como um serviço pago e adicionou uma opção freemium em 2009. Em um ano, sua base de usuários cresceu de 85.000 para 450.000. Em junho de 2014, enviava mais de 10 bilhões de emails por mês em nome de seus usuários. Em 2017, a empresa estava ganhando 14.000 novos clientes todos os dias. A empresa ainda é de propriedade de seus co-fundadores e nunca aceitou fundos de capital de risco.
Em 2016, o Mailchimp ficou em 7º lugar na lista Forbes Cloud 100. Em fevereiro de 2017, a empresa foi nomeada uma das empresas mais inovadoras da Fast Company em 2017. Em agosto de 2017, foi noticiado que a Mailchimp abriria escritórios no Brooklyn e em Oakland, na Califórnia.
