Big News! Google launched ๐’๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง and calls it ๐›๐ข๐ ๐ ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐”๐ฉ๐๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ 10 ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฌ. Here are my thoughts when to use it!

First of all, ๐ฐ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐’๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง?
This Beta is here to expand your high conversion search terms and find or explore new terms that might convert. Basically it tries to catch more queries while still trying to hit your tROAS goal.

๐–๐ก๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž ๐’๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง?
For now Smart Bidding has prioritized keywords that have a predictable performance. But that often means you’re ignoring:
โ€ข New or emerging queries (15% of searches are new every day)
โ€ข Long tail keywords
โ€ข Early funnel searches
Smart Bidding Exploration should solve this by letting Googleโ€™s AI strategically loosen ROAS targets to explore new searches. I think also because of new searches from AI Overviews.

Demand Gen campaigns can soon serve ads on Google Maps via Promoted Pins. One of the less discussed updates from GML 2025.

Promoted Pins are branded map markers that appear when users browse Google Maps. These pins can include:
โœ“ Business name, logo, hours, and contact info
โœ“ Direct links to websites or in-app directions
โœ“ Promotional offers or product highlights

Theyโ€™re designed to increase store visits by capturing high-intent moments during location-based browsing.

Until now, Promoted Pins were available to get via PMax campaigns. But with the latest Demand Gen update, you can:
โœ“ Create ads on YouTube, Discover, Gmail, Display and now Maps.
โœ“ Track both digital and physical conversions (in-store) in one campaign structure.
โœ“ Probably use visual creative with local intent targeting if Maps can be selected as Channel control too.

With Display and now Maps inventory Demand Gen is becoming closer to a PMax for mid funnel.
