One SEO Trend That Is About to Change Everything in 2022 – And How to Use It In Your Favor

SEO is about to change. Are you ready? Today I’m going to break down one SEO trend that is about to change everything in 2022 and how to use it in your favor.

Jarvis: https://www.jarvis.ai/
Frase: https://www.frase.io/
Clearscope: https://www.clearscope.io/
Surfer: https://surferseo.com/
Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/
____________________________________________

So what’s this trend? Do you think is going to be voice search. Do you think it’s going to be SEO on page SEO? Do you think it’s going to be backlink building? What do you think that trend is going to make everything change in SEO in 2022? Seriously, what do you think it is? I’ll give you a hint. It’s something related with tools. Can you guess what it is?

It’s actually automation. Automation is going to make everything much easier specifically, with content writing. So think of it this way. What happens if you can end up doing content writing that’s semi-automated using the GTP3, right? There’s a lot of tools out there like Jarvis that makes things really easy and it won’t create content that’s perfect, but it’ll create more than half of it. And then you can just go in there and modify it and adjust it.

Also tools are already doing competitive analysis and doing research, right? You use tools like Ubersuggest, it’ll tell you what’s working? What keywords are competitive? What doesn’t work, but check this out. What happens if more marketing could be automated? In Ubersuggest in 2021, we already released in beta, tools and scripts that you can put on your website that automates a lot of your on-page SEO. Tools like Jarvis automatically automate a lot of the content creation process. So what happens if you just start tacking on all these things.

If you start plugging all these tools together, you can automate a lot of your SEO, which will then make your life easier. Just imagine, you create a site error by publishing a new page and you don’t have to fix it. Ubersuggest fix it for you. Or you want to write content on a new topic that you’re not as familiar with. And you’re sending it to a great writer. They can use Jarvis to plug in some information and then boom, it cranks out a content piece for them that they just have to modify and cleanup.

And these tools are delivering, ready to write content, that’s not just outline, but that’s super thorough. And that can be valuable based on a lot of the top ranked pages already that are out there on Google. So let’s go over some of these tools, frase.io, Clearscope, surfer.seo. That’ll help with a lot of the content creation and the keywords.

Other tools, even some that help you write your content that we’re discussing are things like Jarvis.ai and Outranking.io, Copy.ai and Copysmith. And when it comes to on-page SEO, Ubersuggest is working on automating all of it. It’s already in beta and it works for WordPress. And then eventually we’re going to automate all on-page SEO, as well as all content creation. And then the long-term goal is even automate link building as well. So if you want to use automation in your favor, here’s what I would start with. And you can start in this order. I would specifically start with content and just use one of the content tools that I mentioned and use that to cut down your content time.

Then the second thing I would do is increase the amount of content you’re creating because your writing team should have more time. And then the third thing I would do is create a project flow within Ubersuggest, So when you go to Ubersuggest, and you create a project flow, you know, it’s tracking your rankings, your on-page SEO. You’ll then get notified when you can automate your on-page SEO. So then you don’t have to fix anything. So that way you’ll be right there in front of the line.

My 4 Favorite SEO Tools (And The Ones That Are a Time Waste)

There are one to many SEO tools. It can be overwhelming. So today I’m going to break down my favorite four. Today I’m going to break down my four favorite SEO tools and the ones that are a time-waste.

Number one, of course, Ubersuggest is one of my own tools. What I really love the most in Ubersuggest there’s a few features and I’m going to break them down, is whenever you’re doing keyword research in the keyword ideas report, you can click on this button, page one, ranking potential, and you put in your URL and it’ll tell you all the keywords that you can rank page one on, based on your domain authority, your on page SEO, how long your site’s been around.

So it’ll tell you what you actually have a shot to rank for right now. Right? And that’s great because SEO is a long game, but who doesn’t want to see more short-term results. The other feature that I really love in Ubersuggest is the competitor analysis. I can put in my domain name and my competitor’s domain name.

And it’ll show me all the keywords that they rank for the I don’t rank for. And it’ll also show me all the keywords that you know, I’m ranking for, that they’re also ranking for. And then you want to check out what are the keywords that they’re ranking for that you’re not even targeting because that’s a keyword gap. That’s your opportunities.

Another feature that I love in Ubersuggest is the back links opportunity report. And if someone’s linking to three of my competitors, you know that if they linked to three of my competitors, they don’t mind linking to other websites in my space. So if I take the time and hit them up, there’s a great chance that they’ll link back to me.

The next tool I like is Click Flow. It’s used to test your title tags and your meta description. This is great because a lot of times you can boost your rankings, not by building more links, but just getting more clicks. If everyone does a Google search for a keyword like dog shoes and they click on the second result, instead of the first result, it tells Google that no one wants a first result. They prefer the second result and they’ll switch the rankings.

The next tool I like, Google search console. It’s free. You can discover keywords that you need to double down on. Here’s what I mean by that. Go to Google search console, see the pages that are getting traffic.

Look for the keywords that you’re ranking for the bottom of page one, on page two, page three. And see if you’re using those keywords within your content. If not, if those keywords are relevant, integrate them, it’ll boost your rankings for those terms, helps you double down and you should see results within 30 days.

Of course, one of my last favorite tools is Google trends. It allows you to explore new opportunities and find a lot of great keywords and categories to go after, especially what’s trending. And what’s going on an upward trend versus a downward trend because you want to go after more keywords and terms that are on an upward trend.

As for a time-waste, you know, when you look at very technical SEO auditing tools, there’s a lot of them out there. It’s only worth it if you have huge websites with thousands of images, complex internal linking structures, unless you have a critical technical SEO problem.

Most of the time, you won’t need to be running lots of crazy in depth audits. You can do a lot for free within just the Ubersuggest, auto report. Now think about the ROI of your efforts. What’s working best in your SEO. Don’t spend time and money on all the tools and activities that aren’t really yielding those results. But for most of your day-to-day stuff, you’re not going to be using those features. You’re just going to be paying for stuff that you don’t use.

So instead, I want you to focus on what’s driving your ROI. Go look in your Google analytics, go look at what’s driving the conversions, your goals, what content, what channels. Focus more on that than wasting your time looking at 20 tools.

It’s not just about the cost. Cost isn’t the issue of the tools. The real issue with using too many tools is it’s a big time suck. If you spent your time on what’s generating your ROI, you’ll make more money.

The ONLY Features You Need to Use in SEO Tools

Are you getting overwhelmed with your SEO reports and all the tools? There are so many out there. Well, don’t worry. You’re not alone. Today, I’m going to break down the only features you need to use in SEO tools.Don’t get bogged down by reports and features and tools. That do very little to actually get you more rankings. I’m going to break down four main features and reports that you need to rank higher. And here’s best of all, you can do pretty much all of this in Ubersuggest.

RESOURCES & LINKS:
____________________________________________
Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/
____________________________________________

You can find it in neilpatel.com/ubersuggest, or just go to ubersuggest.com. And you can do literally most of this stuff for free in Ubersuggest. That’s what’s great. So in that sense, we’ll go down the four main features you need to use and how you can do it for free.

So, let’s dive right in. Number one, Rank Tracking, Look, on Google, if you don’t know what your rankings are, if they’re going up or if they’re going down, or how things are improving or declining, how are you going to improve? Those things are really important, right? Be here’s the thing with SEO, it’s a long game.

And Rank Tracking shows you that, and it can track your rankings on a daily basis and a weekly basis, whatever you prefer. And you can even track your rankings on mobile devices and desktop. You can do the all in Ubersuggest for free. And what’s cool about that is that way you can see how you’re performing on different device types. And it tells you when you’re doing SEO, what’s working and what isn’t.

The second thing that you need to look at with these SEO tools is Competitive Analysis. Competitive Analysis tells you what your competitors are doing and what’s working for them. Look, you don’t want to recreate the wheel. You want to do what’s working for others, and just do it better. Why start from scratch?

And what’s cool is, you can see the keywords by clicking on the Keywords button and you’ll see all the keywords that that page ranked for. And that’ll tell you, hey, should I also create a page that’s very similar. Well, if I do, now I know what keywords to go after because it’s related to my business and it can also drive me sales.

And another cool feature is you can also see all the backlinks that are driven to that page. All the other sites that are link into your competitor’s page. Because here’s the thing, if someone wants to link to your competitor, they’re probably willing to link to you too.

So now, you got a list of links going to your competitors. So, you can create a better page than that’s more thorough, go after all their keywords, and you can also hit up all the people linking to them and ask them to link to you too.

The other cool thing that I like about the Competitive Analysis report on Ubersuggest, you can see how much traffic your competitors getting. If they’re getting more traffic month over month or less traffic month over month, because Google is doing so many updates.

The third report that you need to look at and feature within these SEO tools is Keyword Ideas. Now, the Keyword Ideas report in Ubersuggest gives you all these ideas that you can go after.

So, you want to go after popular keywords. And what’s cool about the Ubersuggest Keyword Ideas report, you can actually filter it by some any region, such as United States or Canada, or UK, or India, or Brazil, or even South Korea.

And within the Keyword Ideas report in Ubersuggest, there’s also a Content Ideas report. What that’ll show you all the content that you can write about that are related to those keywords. So, you can see what’s popular on Facebook, what’s popular on Pinterest, what’s popular from the backlinks perspective, and what’s even popular from an organic SEO perspective.

The last factor, and this is number four, is Backlinks. If you don’t get people linking to you, you’re not going to do well. Backlinks are like votes.

So, you want to get ideally bigger sites linking to you and more relevant sites. And you can use the Backlinks report within Ubersuggest. And what’s cool is they have a Backlink Opportunity report more specifically, where you can put in your URL and then your competitor URLs. And it’ll show you all the people that linked to your competitors, but don’t link to you.

Because if someone links to not just one but two, three, four of your competitors and they don’t link to you, the chances are they don’t mind linking to other people in your space because they’re already linked to lots of your competitors.

Sometimes the Best SEO Strategy Is To ABANDON Some Keywords

I have 9 million visitors and now I’m trying to get less traffic. Today, I want to break down how sometimes the best SEO strategy is to abandon some keywords.

3 SEO Trends in Automation for 2021 (Trend #3 Is Coming Sooner Than You Think): https://youtu.be/Dv-44E0lPog

Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/
____________________________________________

Look, neilpatel.com gets roughly eight to 9 million visitors a month. And it ranges, some months are better than others, some months I even had 10 million visitors, some months, there’s seven. Really depends on the season as well.

Now, when I look at neilpatel.com, when I first started off, I wasn’t targeting buyers, I was targeting any keyword that would get high traffic, and I just wanted as much traffic as possible. People were searching on how to make money on Instagram. You know what? Boom, I create a article on that. People want to know how to get more Instagram followers. Boom, I create a article on that. People want to know something about TikTok, even though my customers don’t care to pay me for TikTok marketing, boom, I create a article on that.

Why was I doing that? Well, the main thing is, is I thought the more traffic, the better because a lot of people wanted this traffic and people would pay money to rank for these keywords or more so pay money to get at the top of Google in the paid ads.

And what I learned from that strategy is, if the intent of those keywords doesn’t exactly match what your ideal customer is looking for, you’re getting the traffic, but you won’t make any money. So you’re probably wondering, what am I doing now, right? Well, I’m doing a few different things.

First off, I don’t care for traffic anymore. Yes, I want more traffic, but I want the right traffic. I don’t really care if I have 9 million visitors or 1,000,000 visitors. I really care about conversions and what’s driving those conversions. And I’ve been doing this for a while now.

So I want you to go into Google Analytics, set up some goals and conversion tracking, and look to see what’s driving conversions. Focus more on getting those traffic sources. That’s the first step.

The second thing I want you to do is go and look for what your competitors are paying money on paid ads for. So you can use tools like Ubersuggest and put in your competitor’s URLs. See what keywords are ranking for, see what keywords are targeting for on a paid ad perspective. And that’ll give you a big idea of, hey, these are the keywords we should be going after and these are the keywords that we shouldn’t be going after.

The third thing that I’m doing is focusing on other channels that aren’t necessarily related to keywords. If you look at the big companies out there, Microsoft, IBM, Airbnb, Nike, whatever it may be, they grow their revenue in many different ways.

The next thing that I’m doing is going after keywords that I know I can easily rank for. So if you go to Ubersuggest and you put in a keyword that you know is good, like, I’m in the marketing industry, so I may put in digital marketing, and you’ll see a report that loads and it shows your overall traffic, like, for the term digital marketing and how many people click on it.

And you put your URL in there and it’ll end up breaking out once you put your URL, all the related keywords that are good and that you can easily rank for. And I want you to look at each of those keywords, do some searches, do some research, and make sure that you’re seeing direct competitors, not somewhat competitors, but direct competitors.

And if they are, and they have a high CPC and good traffic, that means I know that that’s a good keyword for me to target in SEO because it will drive sales, which is very important.

And that’s a strategy that I would recommend, and remember, traffic isn’t everything, conversions and sales is. It all starts with tracking your conversions in things like Google Analytics, which they can do for free.

A Step-by-Step SEO Strategy For Beginners | Getting Traffic With Old and New Websites

Starting with someone who has no SEO strategy currently, let’s start there. Do you think there’s a site-wide level of optimization that has to happen? Like, straight up title tag, meta tag, optimization of different queries on the site, an internal linking structure, and then a content marketing strategy on top of that to add value to the site, as a base level SEO strategy? Or what would you suggest to someone who, first level is they don’t currently have an SEO strategy, and then we’ll ask about someone who already does, and what they can optimize, but just base level, if you don’t have one, what do you do in today’s world?

You know, you can look at keywords, top pages, et cetera. But what I wanted to show you is this is the easiest thing. So you just click on Site Audit. Again, this is free. I don’t even capture an email straight up, this is just free. So you don’t have to put in an email to use it, and it’ll tell you everything that’s wrong. Pages, your score, your load time. And you can be like, “All right, “let’s look at my Issues, or Critical Errors.” And you can just go to all of them, and be like 31 pages have a low word count.

And then you can to Warnings, and you can do the same thing. Two pages have duplicate meta descriptions. So what is it, right? So what is that, and how do I fix it?

It just breaks down everything you need to fix, in priority, from how hard is it to implement, to how much traffic will you get by fixing them? So that’s the first part of SEO, right? It’s just like the lowest hanging fruit. The second part is all about keywords.

So if I’m trying to target the keyword, marketing, and this is super effective, or digital marketing, right? And I use these tactics on my own site. To give you an idea, if I type in digital marketing, I think I’m like number one or two or something. Here’s all the paid listing, and I am the first organic listing. I do that for a lot of terms like online marketing. I’m up there somewhere. I’m number two. Funny enough, number one’s also my website. Although I sold it.

But here’s a simple thing I do. It’s all about finding the right type of keywords, right? The way I find the right type of keywords is, one, you can just type in keywords like digital marketing, or whatever you want to target. Here’s my process.

I go and I look for keywords, and I just click View All Keywords, and it’ll show me everyone who’s ranking, how many links they have, their domain scores, socials, et cetera. So I’ll go find keywords, and it gives me solid metrics. When I mean solid, as in non-opinionated metrics. Like the average webpage that ranks in the top 10 has 435 backlinks and a domain score of 49. So I know, is it going to be easy for me to get 435? Is it going to be hard? because I can have a rough idea of how many links I have.

So I’ll just go through here, and I’ll find keywords. As you can see, there’s like 500 suggestions here. Here are some other related keywords I’ll post from our database. This has 30,000 recommendations.

And then the last step when I’m trying to create content, after I find some keywords that are typically… I look for keywords that are high in volume, high in CPC, and I want to go after keywords that have a low SEO Difficulty.

So that’s abbreviation of SD. It’s like digital marketing company has a high CPC, volume’s not bad, low SEO Difficulty, which means people are typing that in, me being an agency, probably a good keyword to go after, because it probably converts well if people are paying $17 a click.

And the way you do this is you just create content. So there is a Content Ideas section of the tool, and it’ll show you all the content per country, so you can break it down by whatever country, or language, or region you want. And, technically, you can break all the reports down by that. And you want to look for articles that are somewhat popular, because it’s breaking down the social shares, as well as articles that have decent search traffic, as well as a lot of backlinks.

My Biggest SEO Mistake (And Why Your Organic Traffic Might Be Garbage)

Over the last 12 months I’ve driven 58.6 million visitors from Google. You will look at my traffic sets, you look at this graph and you’re like, wow, Neil you must be doing really well at SEO. And you know what you’re doing, but you know what? That’s not really the case. Today I’m going to break down my biggest SEO mistakes.

RESOURCES & LINKS:
____________________________________________
Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/
____________________________________________

As you can see here, 58.6 million visitors from SEO. That’s a lot of traffic to not have to pay for. And if I scroll down and I look at the traffic stats, coming from terms like Ubersugget which is fine. My name, Ubersuggest, affiliate marketing, my name, variation Ubersuggest.

But if I just keep going further down the list you’ll start seeing a lot of keywords that, aren’t really relevant to my business. And a lot of the key words of what I was optimizing for as you can see here, it was just pure volume. And I was getting a lot of traffic, but as you can see now my traffic starting to drop, why? Because my team, you know, at my ad agency we track leads and I can’t show you our leads in Salesforce because we track it all due to people’s personal information like their records or the company URLs.

But when we were tracking our sales through Salesforce of what’s driving clients for NP Digital , and typically people will click on let’s talk and submit a form or contact.

So we have two options to become a lead. And what we found is, most of these keywords droves, little to no leads. Now, if you go to neilpatel.com, I get my traffic typically from blogging, right? I can see here on the blog. And if you look at my content, I’m going after keywords that are very specific. Customer reviews in video ads.

So if I type in customer reviews video ads. The search volume, isn’t high. If you look here zero monthly searches, right? People aren’t really searching for a lot of these keywords but you know what?

We found that people who are interested in putting customer reviews in video ads or images, and they’re trying to figure this out are interested in conversion rate optimization which is one of the services we offer.

So the content that we’re producing on our blog is much more niche. How to create a free Google website for a business. This for us, this post is target local businesses because our SMB division helps localized businesses. How to create unique gift guides for e-commerce content.

And I spent so many years building up my traffic and it wasn’t until I got the traffic.

Look, the big lesson from this is, don’t optimize for traffic optimize for revenue. If your keywords aren’t generating you revenue, move on to new keywords. And when you’re doing keyword research, don’t make the mistake I did. Don’t just optimize for quote-unquote traffic. What I want you to do is type in keywords.

So don’t optimize just for traffic, optimize for traffic from the right audience. And before you go after keywords do your keyword research, type them into Ubersuggest, figure out what keywords have high volume and traffic while you’re technically they mean the same thing but also high CPC. And of course it’s related to your business.

So don’t just optimize for quote-unquote keywords and traffic optimize for relevancy. And if you do that, you’re going to be better. And if you need help with this check out my ad agency, NP Digital or if you just have questions, leave a comment below.

4 Daily SEO Tasks That You Need to Do (And That Produce Results)

Google, on average, makes over eight algorithm changes per day. That’s a lot of algorithm changes. So, how do you ensure that you’re doing all the right things to continually stay at the top of Google? Today I want to break down four daily SEO tasks that you ought to do.

RESOURCES & LINKS:
____________________________________________
Ubersuggest: https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/
____________________________________________

I’m at neilpatel.com/ubersuggest. Now some of the daily tasks that I do use Ubersuggest, and some of them don’t, and I’m going to break them all down for you.

So the first daily task that I like doing is checking my rankings. So if you’re on Ubersuggest, if you haven’t, you can type in your domain or a keyword, hit enter, and then I want you to go and click on the dashboard button. This is going to be where you add projects.

Project gets added and then your rankings will load. Sometimes it takes 10, 20 minutes for the first set of rankings when you just added your project. But let’s go to the rank tracking report and let’s look at, you know, as you can see here, I already picked up a few keywords.

Within the next five, 10 minutes, more will be picked up. Let’s look at one of my older profiles, Neil Patel, and I can pick custom time ranges, like last 30 days. And then you can see how your rankings are fluctuating over time.

And this is really simple because then you can see, all right, are my rankings going up? Cool. The ones that are going down, I will look at those pages and see what I need to do to improve them so I can get my rankings to go up back over time.

And I would look at, all right, who’s, and some of these results are localized. And I would just look and be like, all right, who’s above me? What are they doing? And what do I need to be doing to rank higher? So then I would just look at their pages and compare them to my pages.

The second thing that I like doing in Ubersuggest on a daily basis is I go to the keyword overview and I’ll continually search for new keywords. So I already know about the keyword SEO company, but I may type in keywords like digital marketing.

And what Ubersuggest will do is it’ll show you a list of keywords, some content ideas, list of keywords, and the search volume over time. So let’s say I look at the list of keywords. I’d be like, huh? You know, maybe I want to go after digital marketing company.

And I can add the keyword. And what I would do is I would look for other keywords that I haven’t added yet. I’m going to go down cause not all of them are relevant. I’m going to keep going. Let’s see. Digital marketing firms. I probably want to go after that keyword.

And then click add. And by doing this on a daily basis, when I go to my keywords list, I’ll constantly have more keywords in here.

So then that way, I can continually boost and increase my rankings because SEO is all about keywords. The more keywords you have, the better off you’re going to do, assuming you actually take time to create content around those.

The third thing that I love doing is just doing a regular site audit. So, as you can see here, neilpatel.com is already loaded, crawled. And if it hasn’t been crawled today, just click re crawl. And the reason I like doing this is, as you constantly make changes to your website, and you constantly update things, you keep getting more and more SEO errors or things can go wrong.

So I’ll look at, like, the critical arrows. These are some pages that take too long to load, and I’ll have my team work on fixing this because that’s more server related. For the issues that are more warnings or recommendations, some of them I can fix like a page without a H1. That’s easy. I can go fix that myself.

The fourth thing I like doing is to head over to Google search console. In Google’s search console, you’ll see where things are going wrong, where they’re not, and they’ll list good URLs, bad URLs, URLs that need improvement. You can open up any specific report. You want to see less red. And as your yellow increases, you want to see less yellow, and you just want to go through all the reports.

So, like, I like going through, like, the enhancements, like breadcrumbs. Make sure there’s no errors. I like going through, actually, AMP, breadcrumbs, FAQ, and I just go through them. Just make sure there is no major errors.

It’s a lot of little things. And by doing that, you’ll consistently rank over time and rank higher. So that’s it. Those are the four tasks that I like doing on a daily basis.

If you’re looking for an SEO checklist to help you increase your site’s organic traffic and ranking in Google, you’ve just found it. We’ve put together the definitive checklist you’ll need to be successful in SEO in 2021, covering best practice information and tasks you need to be aware of. Watch this video to the end so you don’t miss the best part! Let’s not talk too much and get down to business.

From the basics of SEO to what you need to know when analyzing your off-page signals, use this as a guide to ensure that your site adheres to best practices and that you are not held back by issues you missed.
The following items are mostly service tasks, but they form the foundation of a successful SEO strategy.
Set up Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
The Google Search Console is an important tool that provides you with invaluable information about your site’s effectiveness, as well as a wealth of data you can use to increase your site’s organic visibility and traffic.
Bing Webmaster Tools is a similar platform that simply provides data and analytics for your search engine.
These essential tools allow you to view search terms and keywords that users use to find your site in search results, submit sitemaps, detect crawl errors and more.
If you don’t already have them, do it now and thank us later.
Without the right data, you can’t make good decisions.
Google Analytics is a free marketing analytics tool, which allows you to view data and information about how many people are visiting your site, who they are and how they interact with it.

Google Analytics is pretty hard to beat, but there are some decent alternatives like Clicky .
Just make sure you have a way to track regular search traffic and conversions. The first step is to install Google Analytics code on your site and familiarize yourself with basic SEO reports.

Create and submit a Sitemap file.
The purpose of a sitemap is to help search engines decide which pages to crawl and which is the canonical version of each page.
It’s simply a list of URLs that define your site’s core content to ensure it gets crawled and indexed.
A sitemap tells the search robot which files you think are important for your site, and also provides valuable information about those files: for example, for pages, when the page was last updated, how often the page has changed, and any versions in other languages of the page.
Google supports some different sitemap formats, but XML is the most commonly used. You can usually find your sitemap at https://www.domain.com/sitemap.xml.

Create a Robots.txt file. Simply put, your site’s robots.txt file tells search engine crawlers about the pages and files that web scanners may or may not request from your site.
It is most often used to prevent crawlers from crawling certain sections of your site and is not intended to be used as a way to de-index a web page and stop it from showing in Google.
You can find your site’s robots.txt file at https://www.domain.com/robots.txt. Make sure you already have it.
If you don’t, you need to create one – even if you don’t currently need to prevent any web pages from being crawled.
Several WordPress SEO plugins allow users to create and edit their robots.txt file, but if you’re using a different CMS, you may need to manually create the file with a text editor and upload it to the root of your domain.
Check Search Console for manual actions. On rare occasions, you may find that your site has been adversely affected by the imposition of manual actions.
Manual actions are usually caused by an apparent attempt to violate or manipulate Google’s Webmaster Guidelines – this includes things like user-generated spam, structured data issues, unnatural links, thin content, hidden text and even what’s called pure spam.

Make sure Google can index your website.
It’s not as rare as you think that a website actually can’t be indexed by Google.
You’d be surprised to learn how often sudden website de-indexing is caused by developers accidentally leaving noindex tags in place when moving code from the middle ground to the working environment. Just go ahead and start crawling; if this is blocked, search engines won’t be able to crawl or index your site either.
Double checking that the main pages that should be indexed can be indexed can save a lot of troubleshooting problems if you find problems later.

One of the fastest ways to start your keyword research is to find the terms that work for your competitors. In our opinion, time spent on competitor analysis will not be wasted.
You need to know what your main money keywords are. In case you haven’t guessed, these are the ones that will drive you leads, sales and conversions.

SEO For Beginners – The Easiest Way to Generate Traffic

As a beginner, there must be a simpler way to start generating SEO traffic without having to learn all this on-page code and build links. Today, I’m going to break down the easiest way to get more SEO traffic.

As SEO, eventually you will have to learn on-page SEO and you’ll also have to learn about link building. But when you’re just starting off, the key that you need to remember is content is king. When you have content on your website, you’re going to get more traffic. When you don’t have content on your website, you’re going to get less traffic. Google uses that content to put your website out there.

So when people type in phrases around anything related to your website, your content has a higher probability of showing up. So if you’re a beginner, the easiest way to generate traffic is to start writing content, but not any content, you have to actually write the right kind of content and I’m going to show you how to do that.

First off, I want you to go to neilpatel.com/ubersuggest. And I want you to type in a keyword related to the content you want to write. If you don’t know what keyword report to the content that you want to write, just put it in a keyword related to your industry.

The overview will show me how many people are typing in that keyword within my region, my region being the United States, on a monthly basis. I can see roughly how popular that keyword is. And then I can scroll all the way down to the content ideas. And then I can click view all content ideas. This will show me all the blog post ideas related to the term digital marketing that people are writing on.

And as you can see here, some of them aren’t that great or relevant. Some of them are good. And you just scroll down until you find something that you’re like, all right, I would write on this. So then you click the keywords dropdown and you’ll start seeing keywords, this has given me some keyword ideas on some keywords that I can use.

What I want you to do is go to the keyword ideas report now in the left-hand navigation and you see the term digital marketing that I just typed in. And if that’s one of the phrases, cool. What you’ll want to do is you’ll want to select it and then you want to click add to list.

And you probably don’t have anything here so you’ll want to label your list and then I’ll click a new label. So let’s do digital marketing blog post. All right, I got a label. Add keyword. And this will also give me other terms related to digital marketing. Digital marketing companies probably use a lot.

And then I can just keep going and I’ll keep going down and down and down and then I’ll go to the next page and keep doing this. And as you do this, you want to add those keywords to the list. So I would add it to my digital marketing blog posts list because that’s a blog post I’m writing.

If I go to keyword list and then I click on digital marketing blog posts and I can keep adding more to it, I now have a list of keywords that can potentially be included in the blog post that I ‘ m writing on when it comes to digital marketing or a guide to digital marketing, how to learn it and I can all these terms in there.

Now, granted you won’t automatically rank for all these keywords, but you will rank for a portion of them. And the more you include, the higher probability that you’ll have to rank for at least some of them. And if you’re including keywords that are related to your content and you go top down, what I mean by top down, we’ll go back to the keyword ideas report, when you’re selecting keywords towards the top and then you keep going down, the ones at the top tend to be more popular.

When you also select ones that have a low SEO difficulty score that are in green, those are ones that are easier to rank for. So if you select popular keywords that are easy to rank for, you have a higher probability of ranking for those terms.

And the key here is to create a list for every blog post that you’re trying to create. And don’t keep including the same keywords over and over again. What I mean by that is you don’t want to have 10 posts related to online marketing tools. So you want to keep using new keywords per post.

So you want to do this exercise each and every time you write a blog post. So that way, you’re targeting new keywords that will help you generate traffic. That’s all you have to do to start getting more traffic when you’re creating content, especially if you’re looking for SEO traffic.
