You notice that when you’re setting up your first PPC campaign, each campaign can have multiple ad groups. I recommend not having more than 10 ad groups. Ad groups allow us to segment our target so that we are focusing on certain keywords or certain products or certain match type.

In This week’s tutorial, Lucas shows you how to rank #1 in a category with only 5 campaigns. This is your Amazon PPC experts’ phase 1 approach to accumulating healthy growth with a product. The right five Campaigns can be enough to rank and test keywords based on research. Having more campaign’s than you need can hurt you in many different ways. You have to think small when you launch, then expand overtime.
Your Amazon PPC Expert shows you how to jump start your campaign management. Make sure you do your research behind launching these campaigns. Here are the campaigns you can start with. Name- SP-EX, SP-PH, SP-PAT, SBV-EX, and SBV-PH. Make sure you name them correctly because you always want to be organized with your PPC. Also, it makes your life easier moving through your research.
Researching your competitors can be a major component to launching because you have to give the customers what they are not getting from the other sellers on Amazon. Fill a void that the customers want. And one of the keys to moving past your competitor is a video ad that shows the customers exactly why your product is better than the competitors. Also, during this phase 1 process, your focus should be on conversion rate and nothing else. Conversion rate is the statistic that will show you how well you are ranking.

Auto campaigns and manual campaign
Auto campaign has four match types
close match and loose match for keywords targeting
and substitute and compliment match for product targeting.
Similarly manual campaigns have three match types.
Exact match
Phrase match and broad match.
